Sharpness is an enchantment applied to a sword or axe that increases melee damage.

Usage[edit]
In Java Edition, Sharpness adds 0.5 * level + 0.5 extra damage.
In Bedrock Edition, each level of Sharpness adds 1.25 extra damage.
An anvil is required to apply Sharpness V to a wooden, stone, iron, diamond, and netherite weapon. Golden weapons can get Sharpness V through enchanting.
